Do bear in mind that this particular stone is very prone to fading in the sunlight (it is quite similar physically to amethyst) and when exposed to sweat and bleach. If you are someone who lives in a particularly hot country and who spends a lot of time outdoors then turquoise is perhaps not right for you. If you do spend a lot of time in the heat and sunshine you can always store your ring safely indoors if you don’t mind not wearing it all the time. It is also recommended that you remove a turquoise engagement ring before doing any washing up or cleaning to avoid erosion and fading from bleaches within detergents.
